Media files and conversion
Files selected in the converter are read and processed locally by code running in your web browser. We do not upload source media, HLS playlists, segments, or downloaded ZIP files to our servers. Closing or reloading the tab clears the converter's working state. Because we do not receive your media, we cannot view, recover, or delete it for you.
Technical delivery data
Like most websites, our hosting and security providers may temporarily process request data needed to deliver and protect the site, such as IP address, date and time, requested URL, browser information, response status, and diagnostic events. This data is not used to inspect the media you convert.
Browser storage
The converter does not require an account and does not currently use browser storage to retain your selected files. Essential infrastructure may use short-lived storage where necessary for security and reliable delivery.
Advertising and consent
No advertising units are currently displayed. If Google AdSense is enabled, this policy will be updated and Google and its partners may use cookies, web beacons, IP addresses, or other identifiers to deliver, measure, and personalize advertising where permitted. Visitors in regions requiring consent will be shown a Google-certified consent mechanism before non-essential advertising storage is used. Third-party links
Our guides may link to external documentation. Those sites have their own privacy practices. The converter does not send your media to those sites.
Children
The service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Your choices and contact
You can avoid technical request logging by not using the site. When a consent interface is introduced, it will provide the controls required for applicable advertising choices. Questions may be sent to privacy@m3u8convert.com.
Changes
We may update this policy when features, providers, or legal requirements change. The effective date above will identify the current version.
